After Party

Ok peeps - Calissa wants to party and needs a place to go, get drunky, and kiss girls. Anyone know of a place mid-Strip? Come on locals - you know where we can go. Speak up or I'll have to spend my saturday night wandering around casino's looking for a place. Hey - that doesn't sound like such a bad idea!

RE: After Party

The Casino Royale casino bar has cheap beer specials according to its web site and it is located right near the finish line. Then there is Bill's Gambling Hall which is located right at one of the runner exit spots. I think I saw they had cheap drinks too.

RE: After Party

After walking to Expo today I'd say Bill's might work, but Casino Royale will be a nightmare to get to. That side of the strip is always a crush of people, Sunday night it will be as dangerous as MB was last year.

RE: After Party

I checked out several places yesterday - Bill's has a lounge area that may work but there will be kareoke going on so it may be a bit loud. But it is very convenient. Casino Royale would not work because there is no place to sit and talk. If people want to eat, perhaps Margaritaville might be our best bet. It's pretty convenient, we can sit, talk, eat and drink. Drinks are a little more than I what I was hoping for - $5.50 for domestics, 6.50 for imports. They do have Landshark for a around $5 as a special. Might be a little loud too but tolerable and I believe it is non smoking which is nice. We can finalize tonight at dinner. Maybe someone discovered the perfect spot or will today.

RE: After Party

Margaritaville was a great location but unfortunately neither my friend or I had the energy to walk further then the ice machine after the race. Oh yeah the ice was not for our drinks it was for our knees. I did mine in yet again after walking up the strip once the half had started. I tripped on something..

Hope everyone had a great time in the race. The start seemed a bit better but as I walked past the finish it looked like there may still be some things that need to be worked out.

For me I got stuck on the side opposite the Flamingo and trying to get where I needed to go was confusing and like trying to walk through a mosh pit at a rock concert. Not a good thing when you have to "p".
