RE: January 2016

Checking in, getting in some good miles but nothing too serious. No injuries and decent weather so I'm doing pretty well.

RE: January 2016

My left knee still hurts a little while I'm running, but the half marathon I was thinking of running this Saturday was postponed because part of the course will be closed because of the ET 94 tank.

RE: January 2016

I somehow managed to get 100 miles in this month even with a bag knee(feeling a lot better) with a day to go.

RE: January 2016

Good job Dean. May was not a good month for me running wise. I planned to scale back my mileage after Boston to give my legs a bit of a break before resuming training for my next marathon (which I signed up for yesterday - Portland OR), but still planned to get about 120 miles in. But last week I had a flare up of plantar fasciitis for some unexplained reason. So I skipped one run and then haven't run since Friday. As a result my May mileage was just short of 100 (about 95). Hopefully I can get this better quickly since I am supposed to start my training next week, and have 3 triathlons, a 5k, and 2 10 mile races planned for the next 3 months.

RE: January 2016

Another month done. Last month was weird for me. The PF issue seem to clear up, but I had trouble with my achilles once again. Not as bad as it was before but still bothersome. I also did something to my upper left calf muscle. It sort of popped but not like a tear or anything but I couldn't complete my run that day and had to take 3 days off before I eased into it again with slow lower mileage runs. That's been 2 weeks now and I am still being conservative on my speed, but upped my mileage back up to plan. Anyway, I did get about 115 miles in in June despite these issues. Hopefully July will be a good month once again.

RE: January 2016

Back from Ventura, CA. My Garmin says I ran 13.08 miles. Question. Did I run a half marathon?

RE: January 2016

Sounds like a half to me! Nothing special for me, it's hot and muggy so I just run enough to stay half way in shape.

RE: January 2016

Hot weather and a major brush fire nearby cut the miles down for me this weekend.
